Yay..this is my first comment on mykofan! As for the article, I can understand how they accumulated $1 billion in revenues..walk by their store on any given weekend and it will be PACKED!! Kudos to them for making it to the top 500 privately owned companies in the US. As for the lawsuits, from a designer's viewpoint I can understand how they feel since F21 makes blatant copies and aren't shy about it AT ALL hehe. This is indeed plagiarism. However, it seems that F21 has found a way to work around the system since designs aren't necessarily protected, only prints, logos, etc. Those sneaky koreans haha! I'm not to sure where I stand on this but maybe what they can do is at least buy the rights to manufacture the design and then sell it to other designers/companies?

you make a good point about prints and logos...i never really thought of that! but i totally agree with you.. every time i pass by forever 21 there are SO MANY PPL inside!!! not to mention their accessories store is off the hook too! LOL

i can also understand why the designers are upset but i'm sure there are tons of other clothing companies that due this as well..though i'm not saying that it makes it right then of course. and i dont shop there but from what i see most of these high-end designers don’t even target the average F21 consumer, they have a totally different consumer market...so in a sense they are losing money from consumers that they probably would never attract in the first place. in the words of Kanye, “wait til I get my money right” haha
