I'll be the first one to answer my own question. I would personally go with the Samsung touch screen because Samsung has a longer track record of making cell phones. I'm sure they won't forget to include certain important features that Apple probably would forget (*cough.."text messaging"....cough). Also, as cool as the iphone is, the wifi on that phone is actually really slow. Slower than most other wifi capable phones. It also sucks that it's only available on at&t, and if you want an unlocked version it costs a ridiculous $600-$800.

I'm going to disagree with both of you and go with the "iphone." There may definitely be some faults with the first gen "iphones" but Samsung phones have tons of problems too. I have a friend who works there and I've heard tons of horror stories during their debugging process. Besides, you can never go wrong with Apple :P
