Why is my computer fan so loud?

I've had a dell PC for 3 years, and all of a sudden, the inside FAN has become SUPER loud. Weird thing is, the computer is not even processing!!!! Any help would be appreciated.

Really? I would switch to a MAC, that would be the fastest way to get that fixed. Hope that helps!

Hmmm......I've thought of using a mac, but the transition is so hard! I feel retarded when I use a mac :(
