Synopsis
|
|
|
Lee Soo-Ha (Lee Da-Hae) is sweet and warm-hearted and holds the responsibility of watching over her father’s countryside estate. Her normally stable life is hurled into oblivion when a handsome young man named Hwang Dong-Kyu (Lee Ji-Hoon) storms into her life. Dong-Kyu is the CFO of his grandfather’s company,TOP GROUP. His grandfather sends him on a mission to buy the land from Soo-Ha. Little does he know, his grandfather has a secret past with Soo-Ha’s family and their estate. When Dong-Kyu meets Soo-Ha and tries to persuade her to sell him the land, an angry Soo-Ha refuses. Thus, begins the wild relationship between Dong-Kyu and Soo-Ha.
As the drama progresses, Dong-Kyu finds himself falling madly in love with Soo-Ha. Unfortunately, Dong-Kyu’s fatal attraction to Soo-Ha creates a dramatic conflict of interest as he tries to balance his obedience to his grandfather, and his love for Soo-Ha. Things become even more complicated when Dong-Kyu’s younger cousin, Hwang Chan-Min (Ha Suk-Jin), gets involved. Chan-Min uses his good looks and charms to try and seduce and manipulate Soo-Ha. With the help of his mother and the beautiful Suh Hwa-Ran (Yun Mi-Joo), Chan-Min gradually gains the upper hand with Soo-Ha, and even wins the favor of Dong-Kyu’s grandfather. After believing Chan-Min’s lies, Dong-Kyu’s grandfather becomes convinced of Dong-Kyu’s incompetence and kicks him out of the company! Left with no where to go, Dong-Kyu goes to the countryside and secretly begins living with Soo-Ha’s family. It is during his stay in the countryside, that he comes to realize the conniving ways of Chan-Min. He is shocked to learn that Chan-Min has been feeding his grandfather and Soo-Ha with lies in order to turn their backs against him!
Meanwhile, Hwa-Ran devises her own sinister plan, to steal everything that Soo-Ha holds dear to her. As it turns out, there is a mysterious connection between Hwa-Ran, Soo-Ha, and the countryside.
The evil Hwa-Ran begins dating Soo-Ha's brother-in-law and tries to convince him to overtake responsibility of the countryside estate. Little does he know, Hwa-Ran’s “dating” act is nothing more than a ploy to take Soo-Ha's land! Soo-Ha's unsuspecting brother-in-law buys into Hwa-Ran’s trap and falls head over heels for her. One day, he overhears Hwa-Ran's conversation with another countryside resident and learns the shocking truth about her connection to the countryside...
