About:
Ever since Dal-Hee was a little girl she’s had to overcome her own health problems. Her own imperfect health led her to follow a dream of becoming a doctor. After having studied at a medical college in the country, she’s finally become a resident in her field.
However, during her first three months of residency Dal-Hee grew extremely sick and had to undergo heart surgery, which later caused her to drop her residency.
Due to her mother’s pleas not to go back, Dal-Hee gave up her dream to become a chest surgeon. Instead, she’s now working as a general doctor in her hometown while helping with her mother’s farm on the side.
Without putting too much thought into it, Dal-Hee decides to submit another application to pursue her residency at the Korean Hospital. To her surprise, she made it all because there weren’t enough applicants this year!
She’s now taken her first step toward her dream of becoming a surgeon.
Dal-Hee is simple, honest, passionate, and determined. She’s always positive and loves people for who they are. She has a single mind when it comes to her passion and she doesn’t care what people may think of her.
Her goal is to become a heart specialist and surgeon so that she can eventually help sick children with the similar heart illness that she’s had to endure.

Role: Ahn Joong-Goon (안중군), Doctor
|
|
Name:
Lee Bum-Soo (이범수)
|
About:
Joong-Goon was scouted by Dr. Suh and brought to the Korean Hospital. While Joong-Goon is a chest surgeon in pediatrics, he has no problem performing in the areas of the lung, esophogous, and gall bladder. Rain or shine he isn’t afraid of anything when it comes to surgery. Simply put, he’s the best surgeon there is.
Joong-Goon is someone that believes a doctor without skill is committing a crime. He doesn’t allow for even one mistake, and even the first year residents are more afraid of Joong-Goon than they are the Medical Chief! Because of his harshness and high standards, Dal-Hee becomes painfully aware of this as she bears the brunt of his verbal attacks.
Perhaps his past has something to do with how he is presently… Joong-Goon grew up in an orphanage and experienced the false hope at an early age when an adoption didn’t pull through successfully. He never did have the perfect family…
In college he was always 1st or 2nd place. His rival, Gun-Wook, wasn’t too happy about this. They continue to challenge each other as Dr. Lee tries to establish a cancer center (who recruits Gun-Wook to assist him) and Dr. Suh tries to establish a chest/heart center (who recruits Joong-Goon).
What bothers Joong-Goon even more is the way in which Gun-Wook handles his family situation with his ex-wife and son. “Doesn’t he care to keep his family together?”
With Gun-Wook’s friendly relationship to Dal-Hee, this makes Joong-Goon dislike Dal-Hee as well. However, Joong-Goon soon discovers that his feelings for Dal-Hee are growing…

Gun-Wook comes from a good family background and has lived most of his life without many difficulties. Bright, confident, and prideful, he’s always been able to get what he wants.
A year ago, Gun-Wook discovers the truth behind his son which changes the way he feels and views this little boy... With this truth, he divorces Moon-Kyung, and leaves to the U.S. on a fellowship. Dr. Lee calls him one day and requests that he return to the Korean Hospital to help him establish a cancer center (He also happens to be the cousin of Dr. Lee).
Upon his arrival to the Korean Hospital conflicts arise between himself and his ex-wife…
Dal-Hee becomes the first to know the secrets behind their son and because of this, both Gun-Wook and Dal-Hee become fast friends as they get to know each other…

Moon-Kyung is extremely intelligent, passionate, and prideful. She’s a pediatrician at the Korean Hospital and also ex-wife of Gun-Wook.

One day, Moon-Kyung runs into him at the parking lot of the Korean Hospital. Once she realizes that Gun-Wook has returned to Korea, she experiences both anger and longing… She asks him to call their son, but he coldly refuses.
Conflicts seem to arise again between the two, but before the war can begin their son becomes ill with an urgent heart problem.
The two experience an unimaginable pain that no parent should undergo. Moon-Kyung can’t help but rely on Gun-Wook during this situation, which causes her to realize that she’s still in love with her ex-husband…
