About:
Go Ni is a walking contradict. He's lovable by those that love him and despised from those that hate him; he's naive yet experienced, and doesn't mind swindling one of the most famous gamblers around. Go Ni has had a troubled past eventually loses his step-father because of gambling and since he was little he decided to stay as far away from gambling as he could knowing that it never lead to happiness. Whenever Go Ni does look back at his past the only memory that puts a smile on his face is his first love, Nan Sook.
Go Ni once had a best friend, Young Min. However, after failing in Hwatu (gambling) in order to win money for Young Min's dying grandmother they ended up going their separate ways. Go Ni ended up going his separate way, while Young Min ended up under a business man's (Ah-Gui's) wing. Unfortunately that is not the end of their relationship. Go Ni will become the prime suspect of a murder and he discovers that the death behind his step-father and friend is Ah-Gui and Young Min! As Go Ni roams from place to place he meets one of the most famous Tazza players and decides to use Hwatu in order to get revenge on his enemies.

Nan Sook has an irresistable charisma which is probably why her two friends, Go Ni and Young Min, couldn't help but fall in love with her. She was their first love. What she kept secret is that she disappeared because of her friend's involvement in a gambling ring gone bust which led to the loss of her friend's property and herself being sold to the business men who won.
Jung Madame took a liking to Nan Sook and decided to take her from the business men, stating that she would like to raise Nan Sook. While during the day she went to school like any other child her age, at night she would work at a casino run by Jung Madame. This is where she learned the art of Hwatu.
While she likes both Go Ni and Young Min for the different feelings they both bring out in her, Go Ni is the one that makes her laugh. And as their fates would have it, the three would cross paths again at the casino she works at. After seeing Go Ni become victim to the Hwatu game she decides that for her love for Go Ni and for her own happiness she needs to plot her own revenge and escape from the game.
