He's irritable, rude, and can only think about ways to expand his business. Often times, if not most, he's so preoccupied with the "next step" he doesn't realize (or is it that he doesn't care?) that he is stepping all over people with no respect to their feelings! However, there are moments when he struggles with himself, especially when it comes to showing his true emotion. Whether there is a reason for his brashness or it is just merely who he is, it is yet to be revealed.
After 6 years of being married to one of the nation's top actress, he's even more stupefied when he discovers that Ae-Ri is suing him for a settlement of almost his entire fortune! As he tries to search for a divorce lawyer he decides to get Ae-Ri where it hurts and asks Yi-Kyung, her only friend, to be his divorce lawyer! After a turn of events he gets her to agree to represent him in one of the most publicized cases in the country. But aside from the frenzy of the settlement, what will he do, or feel, while working with Yi-Kyung? Will a new love arise amidst the chaos?

Yi-Kyung is an ambitious young lawyer but struggles to find people to represent since she works for an independent "shop" as opposed to the large corporate law firms. However, she's happy where she is and only wants to find justice for those going through divorce. When she finds out Ae-Ri is going through a divorce she calls her as a concerned friend, but gets no response. Worried for her friend, she can't help but wonder what had happened to cause this happy couple to break up. However, before she could get too deep into her thoughts she's rudely awakened into reality when she sees before her eyes a man who had left her 6 years ago. Angry and appalled at how he can just show up and propose their marriage she tries to kick him out, but to no avail. While they obviously have things to work out she receives a second surprise when Min-Gook arrives at her doorstep asking her to represent him in the settlement case between himself and Ae-Ri!
Yi-Kyung doesn't know how to react. Baffled as to why he would even think to ask her or surprised at the amount he's willing to pay her? Regardless she denies his offer. However, he won't let up and eventually she will end up defending him.
To throw a wrench into things, she will soon discover that Hyuk is the other lawyer involved and representing Ae-Ri!
