Synopsis

|
Jang Joon-Hyuk (Kim Myung-Min) is a highly skilled surgeon professor at the Myung-In University Hospital. He’s determined to be the next Surgical Director and knows he has a long road ahead of him. To make matters worse, the current Surgical Director nominates a surgeon named Noh Min-Gook (Cha In-Pyo) as a worthy candidate for the position!
Joon-Hyuk begins playing hospital politics in order to garnish support for his candidacy. His efforts pay off and he eventually gets elected as the new Surgical Director. Min-Gook sends his congratulations and begins wondering what he will do next.
After the promotion, Joon-Hyuk’s ego explodes as he starts disregarding the well-being of his own patients in order to gain more infamy in the medical community. When one of his patients suddenly dies, the patient’s wife decides to sue him and his associates for neglect!
An arrogant Joon-Hyuk refuses to accept responsibility and begins forming a web of lies in order to vindicate himself. His good and honest friend Chae Do-Young (Lee Sun-Kyoon), tries to talk some sense into him only to realize he has become completely self-consumed!
As the legal battle heats up, hospital politics kick in and fellow surgeon professors begin back-stabbing each other and switching sides. At the same time, honest professors like Do-Young, begin contemplating whether or not to provide key testimony that could condemn Joon-Hyuk to a guilty court verdict.
Will Joon-Hyuk be able to lie his way to innocence? Or will honesty prevail through people such as Do-Young and other honest surgeon professors?
